And I’m happy to say I quite enjoyed it.Įlise has worked hard to get to where she is. Shea’s is actually the very first Wild Swans retelling that I’ve ever read. It’s got some great themes of sacrifice, strong sibling relationships, and true love. Review: The Wild Swans has long been a favorite fairytale of mine, and I’m truly disappointed there aren’t more retellings of it. However, since half of it is an EXTREMELY personal rant, I’m posting the review in full here, the only difference from the FTC post being the rant. It is a story of humor, love, adventure, and magic, and it is part of the top selling Timeless Fairy Tales series-a series comprised of loosely related adaptations of your favorite fairy tales. THE WILD SWANS is a retelling of the German Six Swans fairy tale and the Dutch Wild Swans fairy tale. She has to complete the shirts without uttering a word, and if she doesn’t finish the task, Arcainia and her foster-brothers will be lost. To break the curse, she must knit seven shirts made of stinging nettles, but there’s a catch. But when her step-mother, a wicked witch, curses Elise’s seven foster-brothers-the princes of Arcainia-and turns them into swans, Elise is the only one who can save them. They have a new western comic that will be releasing sometime this June. They are currently giving away YEET #33 to all new subscribers while supplies last. YEET’ motto is Old Guys who like Old Comics. The comic is newspaper print, which definitely adds to the old school vibe.

YEET #33 was printed with Alterna’s partnership program. That last page of the Rental made me chuckle. YEET #33 has stories that are serious, full of action, and humorous like the Rental. The art is classic, and the story is entertaining.

Loebs’ story has a throwback feel to the old comics. The first one is written and drawn by William Messner-Loebs. YEET is an indie comic ran and managed by Mike Jones. This has been an entertaining story, and I am looking forward to issue 3. The readers get to see regrets and cherished moments of Darth Vader. The story follows Darth Vader as he searches for the answer. After Luke’s refusal and escape on the Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader wants to track down everyone that hid his son from him. Darth Vader has just confronted his son Luke and tries to get him to join him in the dark side of the force. Star Wars Darth Vader focuses on Darth Vader and what he does after the events of Star Wars 4 A New Hope.
